Overall Thoughts on “Earthlings”

I don’t think I can review this book in my usual way so bear with me. “Earthlings” is definitely the most bizarre book I have ever read which I liked because it kept me intrigued. I do, however, wonder if it was a bit too strange. I’ve said before that I don’t like books that are metaphors because I don’t usually get them but there is absolutely no doubt that this book is about mental illness. However, it’s written entirely from the perspective of the person suffering with these mental delusions so there isn’t a break from them because it’s a constant state of mind. Towards the end of the book it felt a bit like how I imagine an acid trip would feel. Despite all that though, I actually really enjoyed reading “Earthlings”. I don’t think I will read it again but I would recommend it to anyone who likes weird, trippy books.

Overall I gave “Earthlings” 4 out of 5 stars. It was an interesting, intriguing read but it’s not everyone’s taste.
